The Goodyear Engineered Products Insta-Grip 250 red rubber multipurpose air hose is manufactured for use with push-on fittings at working pressures up to 250 psi. Its tube is made of Rubber Manufacturers Association (RMA) Class A Chemivic (Buna-N-Vinyl) for high oil resistance, which means that its volume will change a maximum of +25% and it will retain a minimum of 80% of its tensile strength after exposure to oil. Its cover, made of nonconductive RMA Class B red Chemivic (Buna-N-Vinyl) will experience a maximum volume change of +65% while maintaining at least 50% of its tensile strength after exposure to oil, and is also resistant to abrasion and ozone. This hose is reinforced with spiral Flexten (aramid) yarn for the strength necessary to reach and maintain its maximum pressure rating of 250 psi, and is capable of functioning effectively at temperatures ranging from -20 to +190 degrees F (-29 to +88 degrees C). It is rated with a minimum electrical resistance greater than one (1) megohm per inch of hose length at 1,000V DC, and can be used with a variety of coupling options (sold separately). This hose is suitable for a wide range of general industrial applications such as shop air systems, maintenance, and automotive assembly, among others.
